LG debuts new lineup of Gram notebooks ahead of CES 2019

We’re just shy of three weeks until 2018 comes to an end, but that does not mean that the announcements have stopped as the beginning of January is when CES 2019 takes place.

With a swathe of new consumer electronics expected for the week-long event some manufacturers are trying to get ahead of the competition and reveal a few devices before CES 2019 gets underway.

One such manufacturer is LG, with the South Korean company showcasing two new additions to its Gram lightweight notebook lineup.

More specifically the LG Gram pair of devices are called the Gram 17 and Gram 2-in-1.

As the names would suggest, the LG Gram 17 sports a 17″ display and the 2-in-1 has a 14″ display that can be flipped over for a few different positions.

Focusing in on the larger of the two, the Gram 17’s display boasts a resolution of 2 560 X 1 600. Added to this is a body that tips the scale at 1.34 kilograms, which is quite impressive given it’s a 17″ notebook.

The 14″ Gram 2-in-1 on the other hand has a FullHD screen (1 920 X 1 080) and has a hinge that can rotate vertically 360 degrees. As such users will be able to put the Gram 2-in-1 into a few different modes like tent and display (featured above).

That’s the main differences between each of these LG Gram notebooks, with them both sporting up to an 8th Gen Intel Core processor, Intel UHD Graphics, 8GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.

Pricing and region availability remains a mystery for now, with LG planning to reveal more details at CES 2019.
