MSI shows off all new RTX powered gaming notebooks at CES 2019

CES 2019 is currently on the go and the new product announcements keep rolling in.

For gamers that might be looking for a new notebook this year, MSI has showed off a refreshed range of gaming notebooks.

The first notebook that caught our eye is the super thin GS75 Stealth.

Despite being a 17inch notebook, MSI has shrunk the bezels around the display down and claims that the notebook is now 60 percent smaller than ‘regular 17″ laptops’.

Inside the GS75 Stealth is up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, an M.2 SSD, SATA SSD, a FullHD 144Hz display and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 8GB with Max-Q Design.

MSI also unveiled a new GS65 with similar specs (including a 144Hz display) albeit in a 15.6inch form factor.

For gamers that need ultimate power, MSI’s GT series of notebooks have also received a GPU upgrade.

The GT75 Titan still sports an 8th Generation Intel Core i9 CPU and the option of a FullHD 144Hz or 4K display. The GPU update comes in the form of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 8GB.

The Titan will still sport a mechanical keyboard but the caveat is that it weighs in at 4.56kg.

The Taiwanese manufacturer also revealed that its GE75 Raider and GE63 Raider RGB would now sport Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2080 8GB while the GL73 and GL63 notebooks would sport a GeForce RTX 2060 6GB.

There’s no word yet on when these notebooks will arrive in South Africa or how much they will cost.

We’re really keen to test out the new Stealth notebook. Last year’s iteration was fantastic and more GPU power simply can’t be a bad thing.
