Vox partners with Netstream and SADV to extend FTTH coverage

Fibre to the home (FTTH) has become more readily available and a new partnership will see availability increase in areas outside of major urban areas.

Vox has announced that it has partnered with Netstream and SA Digital Villages (SADV) to speed up the pace at which FTTH is being rolled out around the country.

This partnership, together with Vox’s Frogfoot subsidiary, will see network coverage expand to areas such as Pietermaritzburg and Knysna.

“We want to position ourselves as the internet service provider of choice for FTTH and the best way to do this is by extending our reach in the consumer market. Coupled with a 24/7/365 support desk, and having a presence in all major metropolitan areas enables us to service our customers more efficiently, aiding our expansion goals,” senior product manager of FTTH at Vox, Claire Williamson said.

Fibre connectivity through SADV will be available in select regions in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and North West.

Netstream will provide services in Gauteng and Western Cape.

Together SADV and Netstream will provide access to 50 000 homes with 40 000 homes to be added in 2019.

To find out if your area is covered by Netstream or SADV you can head on over to the Vox website or call 087 805 0003.

The packages from each Netstream and SADV are listed below but take note that there is an installation fee of R1 725 for Netstream and an installation of R999 or R1 725 (depending on the size of your home) from SADV.
