Elisabeth Moreno named VP & MD of HP Inc. Africa

It’s turning into a banner week for new MD announcements, as HP Inc. Africa follows Microsoft SA’s recent announcement, by confirming that Elisabeth Moreno will be taking over VP and MD for the company.

Moreno succeeds David Rozzio, who will be joining up with HP’s executive operation in Europe.

“In this new role, Moreno will be responsible for providing country leadership for South Africa and driving profitable growth across the company’s Printing, Personal Systems and Services businesses across the Africa region,” noted an HP Inc. Africa press statement on the announcement.

Moreno carries several years of experience within the consumer technology sector at various companies in executive decisions, having previously worked at Dell and Orange, as well as most notably being GM for Lenovo in France.

“It is a privilege to take up this leading role at HP, a company that is as passionate about making a positive impact in the world with technology, as I am. I look forward to working with my new team on helping our customers and partners in the African region use breakthrough solutions and technologies to help them reinvent their organisations,” expressed Moreno.

Much like Microsoft SA’s recent appointment, it should prove interesting to see what direction the company will be steered in now that Moreno is at the helm.
