Gordon Ramsay finally appears on Hot Ones

Hot Ones – the First We Feast show where celebrities try to finish an interview while eating ridiculously hot chicken wings – had a landmark guest in Gordon Ramsay recently.

As you may expect it’s filled with all the foul language you’d come to expect from the man, with one of his first lines being about the quality of the wings: “It’s like eating a mouthful of f-cking sand”.

What’s interesting is that Ramsay didn’t appear of his own volition, instead he was pestered into it by his children. The last time we spoke about a celebrity on YouTube it was Jack Black who recently started his own channel with videos that are edited by his young son.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass also appeared on Hot Ones back in October of last year.

Other interesting bits of the show, which we’ve embedded below, are interesting bits about the restaurant industry and the high costs of rent and labour that many people don’t consider when they sit down to eat. Ramsay also states that you can spot a good restaurant from a struggling one by looking at how full they are on Monday and Tuesday nights.

The only real sore points here is that Ramsey seems to use the same old tired rhetoric that older people use in “snowflake” and “millennial”. It’s not even that this kind of stuff is offensive, it’s that it’s so old and predictable that we’re surprised he didn’t also talk about younger people killing an industry or similar played out nonsense.

Still, it’s an interesting video and we do suggest you watch it. If you’re sadistic and came to watch a man suffer, you’ll get your fill here as Ramsay, surprisingly, did not handle the heat well at all and even resorts to using a few tricks and props to make it through the challenge.
