Motorola leaks its own Moto G7 lineup ahead of time

Another week, another smartphone leak (hey that rhymes).

This time it’s the turn of Motorola (owned by Lenovo) with the company making a grave tactical error by revealing its upcoming Moto G7 lineup on its own website. The leaked information has since been pulled, but not before CNET managed to sneak a peek and gather some images.

The Motorola Brazil website is to blame here, with it pretty much revealing everything we need to know about the latest Moto device.

More specifically there will be a substantial four iterations in the Moto G7 lineup – the regular G7, G7 Play, G7 Power and G7 Plus. The first three will spot a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset, whereas the plus will receive the Snapdragon 636 variant.

All four also sport dual camera setups on the rear, which is the industry standard these days. Once again the G7 Plus is touting the specs among the quartet, with a 12MP and 5MP lens on the rear and 12MP option up front.

Other standouts in the range sees the G7 Power naturally feature the largest battery at a mammoth 5 000mAh.

Expected to launch in select regions during the first week of February, there doesn’t seem to be anything extraordinary about the Moto G7 lineup.

Hopefully the rumoured next-gen Motorola RAZR is a different scenario altogether, with it expected to be revealed at MWC 19 at the end of February.
