Cell C extends zero-rated data for black to June 2019

With black’s zero-rated data for Cell C customers coming to an end soon the streaming service has announced an extension to the offer.

Back in 2017, Cell C customers had their streaming on black zero-rated so that they can use their data on other things.

That offer was scheduled to end in February of this year but now that extension has been, erm, extended until June 2019.

“We launched the free data promotion for black in May 2017 to allow Cell C subscribers to fully immerse themselves in the amazing content black has to offer. For most consumers, the new year brings added expenses and we have decided to extend the promotional period to the end of June 2019 to ensure Cell C customers continue to watch their favourite series and movies without incurring additional data costs,” black public relations manager, Precious Nkabinde said in a statement.

For those that have been considering testing out the black seven-day trial, now might be a good time to do that.

Subscribing to black will give you access to  a number of channels but you can also rent movies on the platform. We’re keen to watch Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman and wouldn’t you know it, the film is currently available to rent on black.

You can find a full breakdown of everything on offer through black over on the official website.
