Fear The Wolves leaves early access, is free for a week

Back in August of 2018 Fear The Wolves entered Steam’s early access programme, and it leaves as a 1.0 release today.

Fear The Wolves is yet another battle royale game that actually looks like it has a lot of fun supernatural elements, at least going off of its launch trailer embedded below.

To try to entice new players, the game will be free to play in its opening week, which is from today 6th February until 12th February.

Those who play and find themselves liking the game can then pick it up for 50 percent off. In South Africa the base price is R250.

If you need a bit of extra incentive to get this game or anything else on Steam, remember that the Lunar New Year sale is currently going on, offering R35 off of your first purchase of R200 or more.

By the time you read this both the ability to download it for free and to buy the game at 50% off should be available. The devs have the time for this set to 18:00 CET.

A new game being free to play and offered at such a discount may seem odd, but the battle royale genre is so saturated that new entries really need to do something to set themselves apart. It really doesn’t help that a new one launched just yesterday in Apex legends, which is receiving generally positive reviews across the board and is completely free to play.
