Bee Simulator dev signs publishing and distribution deal

Late last year a game was announced that we weren’t expecting to be intrigued by but here we are.

The game is Bee Simulator and it’s being developed by Varsav Game Studios. As the name suggests, players will take on the important role of a bee and spend time collecting pollen for the hive and fighting enemies.

Think we’re joking? We’re not. Take a look at the trailer below.

There’s no other way to say this but the game looks like it could be fun. Granted we have no idea what the gameplay loop entails but co-founder of Varsav Game Studio, Łukasz Rosiński shared some details.

The game is first and foremost all about fun because players assume the role of a bee, but users can also learn more about the relationship between bees and nature. This could even prompt them to change their views on the balance between work, life and the environment. We can’t wait to release more details about the game in the coming months,” the co-founder said.

It also doesn’t hurt that the game looks really good as well.

If like us, you are intrigued by the prospect of being a bee then here is a slice of good news.

Developer Varsav Game Studios has announced that it has signed a publishing and distribution agreement with BIGBEN.

The former is the publisher/distributor of titles such as V-Rally.

“It’s a real pleasure for us to work with Varsav Game Studio on this game. We were immediately impressed with the passion shown by this studio, which has been working for several years on this innovative game with mainstream appeal,” head of publishing at BIGBEN, Benoît Clerc said in a statement.

Bee Simulator is due out on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC at the end of 2019.

Bring on the end of 2019.
