Samsung reveals South African pricing and availability for Galaxy S10 range

This week saw Samsung try to get ahead of its MWC 19 competition by hosting a Galaxy Unpacked event a few days earlier than many were anticipating, with the Galaxy S10 being the key focus.

The event did not disappoint, as Samsung not only revealed a quartet of Galaxy S10 branded smartphones, but also its new Galaxy Fold device as well.

It’s the former that has our immediate attention, with Samsung Mobile South Africa confirming that the standard S10, S10e and S10+ will all be landing in South Africa come 8th March.

As for the Galaxy Fold, it’s expected to arrive in late April / early May, but there aren’t as many definitive details at this stage.

Shifting back to the new smartphones.

The standard S10 (128GB) will sell for a recommended R18 999, the larger S10+ (128GB) for R20 999 and lesser specced S10e going for R15 999.

Pre-orders for the standard model have begun for some local retailers, but the vast majority are set to announce their pre-order deals this week.

Samsung also adds that pre-orders will be fulfilled ahead of the aforementioned 8th March release date, adding some incentive for pre-orders.
