Where to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S10 in South Africa

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S10 last night at its first Unpacked event for 2019, along with three other models, and now the question is where to get your hands on one?

As expected, several local retailers and carriers have already begun listing the device for pre-order, with it landing locally for purchase come 8th March.

Samsung Mobile South Africa did note, however, that pre-orders will be fulfilled before 8th March, which means those consumers will be able to experience the device before others.

All three models of Galaxy S10 are available for pre-order, including the S10e and S10+, but we’re sticking with the standard variant, which is recommended to retail for R18 999.

So where can you pre-order the Galaxy S10 in South Africa?

Scroll down further to see.

Samsung Store

Pre-ordering the Galaxy S10 from the Samsung Store will require a registration process.

To sweeten the deal, the Store is also offering free Galaxy Buds, but the offer is only valid until 10 March or until stocks last. The Buds are wireless, cost an estimated R3 500 if bought separately and can also be charged via your Galaxy S10 without any cables.

Vodacom

Local carrier Vodacom naturally has the Galaxy S10 up for pre-order as well. They too are offering the Galaxy Buds as an added extra, along with R500 off an accessory. This offer is only valid until 6th March, however, with the S10 available on a R799 per month (24-month contract).

MTN

Like Vodacom, MTN also has the device for pre-order. They too have bundled the Galaxy S10 with Galaxy Buds and a R500 accessories voucher, but it’s validity period is not listed on their site. The contract on offer starts from R899 per month (24-month contract).

Cell C

Moving on to Cell C, they’ve got the Galaxy S10 listed as well, with the Galaxy Buds thrown in too. There is no mention, however, of a R500 voucher, or indeed how long the bundle offer is valid for. Also missing is what kind of monthly contract price consumers can expect to pay for the device.

Telkom

Rounded off the carriers is Telkom, with their site featuring the S10 plus Galaxy Buds if you pre-order before 7th March. Contract pricing for the device starts at R799 per month (24-month contract) on Telkom’s FreeMe 1GB plan.

Takealot

Now for the retailers, and Takealot has the Galaxy S10 for pre-order at R18 999. There’s no added items listed, and the site notes that people who want to ensure delivery of their device on 8th March, need to pre-order and pay for it by 6th March.

Cellucity

Next is Cellucity, which perhaps has the best bundle so far. They’ve got the Galaxy S10 listed along with the Buds and a R3 500 voucher for accessories. No mention of how long the pre-order deal lasts though.

Chatz Connect

Finally there’s Chatz Connect, whose pre-order offer for the Galaxy S10 is the same as the Samsung Store. This means a pair of Galaxy Buds and R500 accessories voucher is added, with the offer valid until 10th March.
