While everyone wants a new Nintendo Direct, the Nindies Showcase (a livestream showing off all the upcoming indie titles) is the next best thing, and one is finally happening today.

You can watch the stream right on this page thanks to an embed, which will go live at 18:00 local time. You can also click on the video below which will bring up a “set reminder” option so that YouTube pushes you a message when it goes live.

If you can’t make it to the stream or prefer to watch it after the fact so you can skip past games you’re not interested in, the video will be saved at the same address.

Originally the rumoured big announcement here was a Castle Crashers port for the Switch, but that was announced yesterday. You can see it on the console in the header image above.

As to what this showcase will bring, it’s worth looking at the Nindies playlist that Nintendo put together as we may be given new information about the games already announced there.

Looking over comments on various platforms and there are a few front runners, at least in terms of what people want to see on the platform. Slay the Spire, Hat in Time, Untitled Goose Game and especially Cuphead are all brought up multiple times, but we’re sure to see some games we’ve never seen before.

Hopefully it ends with a game that’s available right after the livestream, as with done with Into the Breach and Tetris 99 in the past.

Finally, it’s worth noting that this showcase will be 30 minutes long, so there’s going to be a lot to show off.
