Huawei updates its Watch GT series with two new models

Yesterday Huawei spent a day in Paris, France, showing off its new kit to the world.

While the P30 series of smartphones was the focus of the event, Huawei also showed off updated wearables, namely two new iterations of the Huawei Watch GT.

These iterations are the Active edition and the Elegant edition. The Active features the 46mm watch face we saw in the Watch GT Classic and Sport editions.

The Elegant edition features a smaller 42mm watch face with a ceramic bezel option. Due to the smaller dimensions of the watch the battery life takes a slight knock. Huawei says that Elegant wearers will be able to go a week without needing to charge the wearable.

The Active edition boasts the same two week battery life we saw in the Classic and Sport editions of the wearable.

The two new wearables feature a new Triathlon mode which records open water swimming, cycling and running. The feature can also record transition time between the different events.

Both of the new Watch GT’s feature TruSeen heartrate monitoring as well as TruSleep 2.0 which monitors your sleep patterns and offers suggestions to improve sleep quality.

The new iterations of the Huawei Watch GT will be available in Magic Pearl White and Tahitian Magic Black Pearl.

There’s no word yet on local pricing or availability but we’ll likely know more before the close of next week.
