The Huawei P30 Lite is a scaled down version of its flagship big brother

Huawei held its annual P-series press conference in Paris earlier today, with the Chinese manufacturer debuting two new flagship phones in the P30 and P30 Pro.

While those devices will likely be hot commodities, one of their other devices, the Huawei P30 Lite, will also be highly anticipated.

Especially among local consumers, with the Lite versions of Huawei smartphones routinely being one of the better selling devices in the company’s lineup.

As for the P30 Lite, it looks a lot like its bigger brethren, with latter also sporting better specifications.

That said the Huawei P30 Lite is lacking especially in any regard. Up front is a 6.15″ FullHD+ screen with bezel-less design. Sadly no built-in fingerprint sensor for the screen, with it instead being placed on the back cover of the phone.

Sticking with the back cover a trio of lenses are found on the rear, with 24MP, 12MP and 8MP camera present. Up front they’ve also gone with a massive 32MP lens too for those who are selfie obsessed.

Internally the Kirin 710 chipset is doing the heavy lifting, and is paired with a generous 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

At this stage Huawei Mobile South Africa has not confirmed when the P30 Lite will be available to purchase, or indeed how much it will retail for, but we’ve been told that the phone will be relatively similar in price point to its predecessor.
