Eskom has increased the severity of loadshedding to Stage 2 today (14th March).
From 15:00 this afternoon loadshedding will be bumped up from Stage 1 to Stage 2.
Earlier today Eskom cited a lack of generating capacity as the reason for implementing rolling power cuts and that situation appears to have worsened according to a tweet from the utility.
@Eskom will implement up to stage 2 loadshedding from 15:00 today as a result of the shortage of capacity.@City_Ekurhuleni @CityTshwane @CityofCT @Loadshedding_SA @YouthInEnergy

Stage 2 is expected to last until 23:00 this evening.
We urge our readers to check their schedules for Stage 2 and if your power goes out when its not supposed to contact Eskom or your local municipality and ask about it.
