Acer’s 2019 Nitro 7 notebook gets several upgrades for the new year

The annual Next at Acer event for 2019 has held in New York earlier today, and the Taiwanese manufacturer unveiled a swathe of new hardware for a range of different consumer needs.

For those users who wanted a do it all notebook, that could also handle a bit of gaming thrown at it, Acer debuted a new model of the Nitro 7 for 2019.

This offering is designed for consumers who don’t wish to spend as much money on a dedicated notebook from Acer’s Predator gaming range, but still want an impressive array of specifications.

To that end Acer has fitted the Nitro 7 with a Full HD 15.6″ screen that can muster up to a 144Hz refresh rate. Internally a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor is found, with Nvidia’s GTX offerings doing the heavy lifting on the graphics side of things. Sadly though, Acer has not listed which Nvidia can be found inside.

Other elements include up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB storage, although the different model configurations has not be detailed.

All of this does come in an aluminium chassis though, with Acer noting that the Nitro 7 measures 19.9mm thin.

We’re still in the dark as to local availability and pricing, as this new Nitro 7 has only just been unveiled for 2019, but Acer Africa is expected to share that information in the coming weeks.

If the price is right, the Nitro 7 could prove a very tempting notebook indeed.
