Acer’s notebook refresh will boast GTX 16-series GPUs in select models

Earlier this month Acer showed off some of its refreshed tech in New York.

Now the manufacturer has revealed that select notebooks will be updated to include Nvidia’s latest GeForce GTX 16-series GPUs.

Those notebooks include the Predator Helios 300, Nitro 7, Nitro 5 and Aspire 7.

“Acer is excited to be among the first-to-market with the GeForce GTX 16-series GPUs,” general manager at Acer, James Lin said in a statement.

Gamers, prosumers, and content creators will be able to take advantage of the breakthrough graphics performance the next-gen GeForce GPUs bring,” Lin added.

The Predator Helios 300 will come with the option of a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti to pair with up to an Intel i7-9750H and up to 32GB of DDR4 memory.

That same GPU will also be available in the Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 series.

Even Acer’s Aspire 7 will be able to house a GeForce GTX 1650 GPUs alongside Intel’s ninth generation CPUs.

All of these notebooks will be available in South Africa with the Nitro series, Aspire and Helios 300 expected to land in September. There is no exact release date or pricing available just yet.
