Experience Spec Ops: The Line once again, now on GOG

You’ve probably heard of it, you have likely played it, and now the venerable Spec Ops: The Line is available to buy yet again on a new platform.

The famous title has made its way to the DRM-free lands of GOG and is available to purchase right now. Its regular price is rather steep at $29.99 (this game is seven years old at this point) but it is discounted down to $5.99 until 20th May leaving you around a week from the time of writing to pick it up at that price.

At this point we’d usually point to a trailer or some retrospective or even some screenshots to guide your decision to purchase this game, but we’re not going to do that.

As many have said this is a title that you’re best left experiencing on your own without any external input. We’ll just say that it’s a third person shooter set in Dubai after a sandstorm destroys the city.

What we will add to this is that it’s definitely worth paying for and buying, despite the fact that it’s relatively short and you may have heard some people call it overrated.

If being DRM free is important to you, $5.99 is a great price with the only caveat being that the GOG store is not offering Linux support unlike the version on Steam.

Those with the spare money and time should jump in right now.

Oh, and we know that the meme header image really undercuts the serious nature of this game, but humour is a legitimate coping mechanism, okay?
