Hearthstone’s Rise of the Mech event buffs cards and brings a new Legendary

Hearthstone is buzzing with activity at the moment what with the release of Rise of Shadows and The Dalaran Heist rolling out over the next few weeks.

But now Blizzard has revealed details of another event in the form of Rise of the Mech.

Usually events in Hearthstone aren’t all that newsworthy but this one is as a number of cards are being buffed. You read that correctly, rather than nerfing cards, Blizzard is making cards more powerful.

“For this update, we decided to take two The Boomsday Project cards from each class give them a little power boost. Since we think all the chosen cards can lead to fun and interesting experiences, we think these changes will make you think differently about how you’re currently building decks,” Blizzard wrote in a blog post.

The cards being changed from each class can be seen below.

These changes come into effect on 3rd June and logging into Hearthstone between 3rd June and 1st July will give players the new neutral Legendary minion SN1P-SN4P. This three-mana cost Mech has 2/3 stats and the card text “Magnetic, Echo Deathrattle: Summon two 1/1 Microbots.”

Despite only being released next month, SN1P-SN4P will count as a card from The Boomsday Project expansion and will rotate out of play when that card set rotates out of Standard Play.

The card will not drop from The Boomsday Project packs but it can be crafted for the regular cost of 1 600 arcane dust.
