Recently launched FPS / roguelike / playable comic book Void Bastards can be had for less money, should you already own System Shock 2.
While the game did launch on both Xbox One and PC, it’s only on the latter platform where this will apply because it makes use of Steam’s coupon feature.
Anyone with System Shock 2 in their library should find a coupon for Void Bastards in their inventory. We had it in there from an old Humble Bundle so it seems like you will be able to access this deal even if you didn’t buy the title on Steam itself (as long as it’s a legitimate copy that was activated on Steam).
The coupon is for 25 percent off of the game, which will be applied to your order once the game is in your basket, and is valid until 5th June.
If, at this point, you’re wondering what this title has to do with System Shock 2, it’s because Void Bastards is inspired by that title and has been developed by someone who worked on it. The development director of both BioShock and System Shock 2 was involved with Void Bastards.
If you’re interested give the game a look on Steam where it is currently sitting with a Very Positive rating with around 150 reviews at the time of writing.
To be honest this is the first time a Steam coupon has actually come in handy, as they’re usually given out for games that aren’t very interesting.
