How to watch next week’s Apple WWDC 2019 live stream keynote

The international tech event calendar waits for no one, and while the dust settles in Taipei for Computex 2019, next week Monday our attention turns to apple. More specifically to the company’s annual developer conference, WWDC 2019, which kicks off with a keynote on 3rd June at 19:00 local time, and ends on 7th June.

While those not invited to the event won’t be able to see every new piece of software, and potentially hardware, that Apple is working on, the company will be live streaming their keynote.

To that end here’s how you’ll be able to watch the live stream.

The live stream will be hosted here, on Apple’s Events site, as they always are. It starts at 19:00 local time, and is expected to last two hours until 21:00 the same evening.

You’ll need a compatible browser in order to watch the action, which normally includes an up-to-date version of Safari or Microsoft Edge. Chrome can be a little bit iffy, and should your browser of choice not be compatible, there will be a feed of notifications akin to live blog that will appear in place of the stream.

Should that be past your bedtime, Apple usually posts a recap and full video of the keynote on its YouTube channel the following morning.

We’ll also be covering the key announcements, so be sure to check in with Hypertext as well.

As for what to expect, Apple has not officially confirmed anything at this stage, but the general consensus is that will receive an in-depth look at iOS 13, as well as macOS 10.15 (whatever the company is choosing to name it). There’s also the rumoured debut of a new Mac Pro and some refinements to Apple’s watch and TV ecosystems.

With Google’s I/O 2019 conference in early-May failing to truly impress, hopefully Apple can capitalise. Either way we’ll find out on Monday evening.

Be sure to follow Hypertext on Twitter as we’ll be live tweeting all the news.
