Enter the Gungeon is free on the Epic Store, so there’s no excuse not to play it

Despite everything wrong with the Epic Store and the company who operates it, they continue to keep their promise of offering up a new game every single week with the latest one being the simply superb Enter the Gungeon.

If you’ve not heard of this game before now, it’s a roguelike bullet hell that borrows heavily from (and improves upon) games like The Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne.

Enter the Gungeon launched back in April of 2016 but the developers have been continually updating it since then with DLC, fixes, balance changes and full-blown expansions, all for free.

Earlier this year the Farewell to Arms expansion was released (again, for free) marking the end of active development on the title which makes now the perfect time to start playing.

The one caveat we always gave people when recommending this title (which we do a lot) is that is can be brutally difficult. It’s not uncommon for some players to try to refund the game after they spend hours trying to beat the first level and fail to do so.

Now, with the game being free, there’s nothing to lose but a bit of time (and maybe money if you’re paying for your internet connection per megabyte).

Regardless, head on over to the Epic Store page and grab it while it’s still available. This offer lasts until 20th June when the new free game – Rebel Galaxy – will take its place.
