Bolt for Business is now available in South Africa

Bolt, the ride sharing service formerly known as Taxify, has announced the launch of Bolt for Business in South Africa.

The service allows businesses to manage rides for employees through one centralised dashboard.

“We have launched Bolt for Business after noticing that a growing number of Bolt trips are taken for business purposes during working hours, whether it’s commuting to work, rushing to client meetings or getting to the airport,” said country manager for Bolt South Africa, Gareth Taylor, in a media statement.

Bolt for Business allows companies to link employees to a business Bolt account so that the company can pay for their trips. This removes the need to for employers to reimburse individual employees at the end of the month.

Additional functionality is coming to the service according to Bolt. These additions include the ability to limit the times at which trips are taken as well as imposing a limit on where trips can be taken to.

“Bolt for Business is so much more than an efficient expenses management tool – it removes workplace discrimination based on access to vehicle ownership and offers a strategic use of time spent on the road, demonstrating again the positive impact that on-demand transportation services can have on the South African economy,” Taylor added.

To get started with Bolt for Business head on over to the official website and follow the sign-up procedure.
