There are just 10 days left to enter the Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative

Back in March the Jack Ma Foundation announced the Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI) which would award 100 African entrepreneurs with a share of $10 million in prize money over the next 10 years.

Now, there are just 10 days remaining to enter the competition where you could be selected to pitch to Jack Ma himself.

The ANPI is a flagship initiative for the Jack Ma Foundation and is open to entrepreneurs from across the African continent. Entrepreneurs from all industries are welcome and the contest hopes to put focus on small enterprises, female entrepreneurs and those working to improve their local communities.

“There is incredible entrepreneurial energy in Africa, and we’ve been inspired and motivated by the entries we’ve seen thus far,” senior advisor for International Programs at the Jack Ma Foundation, Jason Pau, said in a statement.

“We strongly encourage every entrepreneur across Africa to use this opportunity to overcome any barriers they’ve faced and share their ideas with the continent,” the advisor added.

So how does one enter this competition?

First things first, your business must have been in operation for at least three years and it must be led by an African national.

If your business qualifies in that regard then you will need to make three videos – one from the founder, one from an employee and one from a customer.

Then you’ll need to head to the ANPI website and click Apply Now. You will need to fill in a form to create an account which you will use to complete the submission process.

Semi-finalists will then be selected by a group of judges and notified in August with the top ten finalists travelling to the Grand Finale in November.

Entries close on 30th June so be sure to get yours in before it’s too late.
