Bravado to unveil its first Fortnite team at the Dell Technologies Forum

Later this week, 27th June to be more precise, the Dell Technologies Forum will be taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre, with the day-long event focused on the local ICT landscape and discussions around the latest business solutions from Dell.

It’s not all business, however, with local esports group Bravado Gaming set to officially unveil their Fortnite team at the event.

Attendees at the Forum will be able to meet the new team, as well as play in a few Fortnite matches too.

“Fortnite is leading the battle royale genre with its mix of action and high-level strategy,” explains Bravado’s CEO, Andreas Hadjipaschali.

“It’s also cross-platform, so it can be played on many different gaming devices. This has made it a popular choice for many gamers and attracted many competitors. After our successes with creating and supporting winning teams in other games, adopting Fortnite as our latest competitive tier makes perfect sense,” he adds.

Bravado forming their own team for this wildly popular title makes a lot of sense, especially considering that the title has 250 million registered users, hosting as many as 10 million players at a time during numerous matches.

“Once I had experienced the mechanic of building and editing, I was instantly hooked,” notes Tristan “Zozu” Rens, Bravado’s Fortnite team captain.

“It was something I haven’t seen in a game before and I knew there was something different about it. I’ve never been a fan of battle royale games before I played Fortnite. But the nature of competitive Fortnite, with final storm circles the size of football fields with 40 players battling for the 1st place, is something I couldn’t get enough of. As time went by, the hunger to pursue it professionally grew,” continues Rens.

As for why they’ll be unveiling the team at the Forum, Bravado Gaming is sponsored by Dell and Alienware (which Dell owns), and the firm says that attendees will also be able to see and interact with the latest hardware that Alienware has to offer.

In between intense sessions tackling cloud computing and digital transformation, it may be worthwhile squeezing in a Fortnite match.
