SA’s first ever Photo & Video Experience to showcase Canon’s smart imaging

Later this month, 26th to 28th July to be more precise, an all-new photography expo is happening in South Africa, with the inaugural Photo & Video Experience taking place at the Kyalami Grand Prix circuit.

One of the companies showcasing their wares will be Canon, with the Japanese manufacturer explaining that it will be using the occasion to highlight their smart imaging solutions in particular.

“Canon’s aim is to inspire and enable photographers to capture, store, print and share their life experiences through the universal language of imagery,” notes Michelle Janse van Vuuren, marketing director of Canon South Africa.

“We will be showing visitors just how to do that by giving them the opportunity to capture nine  different interactive zones through a Canon lens. They can also engage with some of the stars in Canon’s award-winning camera and video product ranges, as well as our inkjet printers,” she adds.

In terms of the products that Canon plans to have on show at the Photo & Video Experience, the company’s EOS R mirrorless system will be one of the main attractions on the camera side of things, along with the RF lens collection.

They will also have most of their latest and greatest cameras on display too, with product experts stationed at the Canon stand to explain the finer details about the offerings.

Throughout the three-day long event, Canon will also have professional photographers hold sessions on how to get the best out of one’s camera, serving up helpful tips and techniques from Andrew Aveley, Anton and Darryl van Niekerk, Josie Borain, Natalia Arentseva, Steve Castings and Michael Trucker.

We are excited to be showcasing our smart imaging products and hope to inspire photographers in their pursuit of the perfect shot. Pushing creative boundaries and championing visual storytelling is what defines Canon and we are constantly reinventing what’s possible in the world of imaging, for consumers and professionals alike,” concludes Janse van Vuuren.

Tickets for the event will cost between R60 to R100 if you’re looking per day, and R50 to R200 for a weekend pass with them being sold via Web Tickets.
