Galaxy Note 10 launch happening 7th August

While we still await word on when the Galaxy Fold will be launching locally (and for how much), there’s another Samsung flagship phone set to be unveiled early next month. 7th August to be more precise, with the South Korean firm sending out invites for their Galaxy Note 10 event happening at the Barclays Centre in New York.

As far as information about the new device goes, the invite and video below don’t give us much to go on, with an S Pen stylus and camera lens all that is really featured.

The stylus is nothing new, with Samsung differentiating the Note lineup thanks to that accessory. As such it should be interesting to see what features Samsung integrates into the new stylus, if any.

Shifting to the lens, it may allude to the front-facing one that the Galaxy Note 10 will have. It’s circular design could also hint at the fact that the Note 10 will have a round punch hole for the selfie camera and all-screen aesthetic of the smartphone.

In terms of other rumoured elements, there have been some conflicting reports as to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device, with some noting that Samsung has decided to axe it. If true, it means wireless earphones will be the way to go for consumers. There’s also talk of a 5G-supporting variant of the device, with the LTE version being a smaller 6.28″ phone and 6.75″ for the aforementioned 5G flavour.

With more than a month to go until the Galaxy Note 10 gets unveiled, we’re certain that more information will be forthcoming in the form of leaks, as has been the case in the past.

For now diarise 22:00 local time on 7th August for Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event.
