Hearthstone’s Saviors of Uldum brings back League of Explorers

We’re still having a lot of fun with the Rise of Shadows expansion in Hearthstone and already there is a new expansion on the horizon.

For the second expansion of Hearthstone’s Year of the Dragon, Blizzard is once again reintroducing some familiar faces in the League of Explorers.

Reno Jackson, Elise Starseeker, Brann Bronzebeard and Sir Finley Mrgglton are once again the stars of the show and they will be taking on the League of E.V.I.L which is now in possession of the magical floating city of Dalaran in the Saviors of Uldum expansion.

The expansion introduces two new card types as well as reintroducing Quests. The first of the new card types is Reborn.

Minions with this keyword will return to life with one health point the first time it dies.

The second new card type is Plagues. These cards will be available to Priest, Shaman, Warrior, Warlock and Rogue and will have a devastating effect on the board, and by extension all minions on the board.

Finally it appears as if Quests which were introduced in Journey to Ungoro are coming back. These Legendary spells start off in a player’s hand and when completed reward the player with something epic. In the case of Saviors of Uldum that something is a new Hero Power.

The expansion will be live on 6th August but ahead of that you can pre-purchase card packs.

The Mega Bundle contains 80 packs as well as an Elise Starseeker alternate hero portrait for the Druid class. The bundle also includes a random Golden Legendary and is retailing for €79.99 (~R1 276).

There is also a bundle contain 50 cards, the Elise Starseeker card back (also included in the Mega Bundle) and a random Golden Legendary for €49.99 (~R797).

You can take a look at some of the cards that have already been announced for the Saviors of Uldum expansion in the video below.
