The africast has returned this week to talk about a new way to manage your money, a new way to pay for games, and a new partnership.
First up is the rise of digital banks in South Africa. We got to speak to two of them recently, and we discuss how they differ from regular banks, as well as if there is indeed a market for them locally.
Videogames are making the move, as most software does, from a single purchase to a subscription model. We’ve been playing around with one version of this – the Xbox Game Pass for PC – and there’s a new one on the horizon in the form of Uplay+.
Finally we got to sit down with CEO of Westcon-Comstor, Rakesh Parbhoo, to talk about the company becoming part of the Nokia Global Partner Program and what that means for the South African channel landscape.
Discussed in this africast:
- Checking in with recently launched digital bank Hello Paisa
- TymeBank – What the next few months hold for SA’s first fully digital bank
- Xbox Game Pass for PC
- Ubisoft details the 116 games that you can play through Uplay+
- Westcon-Comstor SSA has joined the Nokia Global Partner Program
