Red Cross ‘Youngblood’ drive includes raffle for a custom Wolfenstein PC

Later this month QuakeCon 2019 will take place and will feature a rather clever way for an attendee to win a custom gaming PC themed around the new Wolfenstein games.

The so-called “Youngblood drive” is a regular Red Cross blood drive with a twist: as making a donation at the event will net you a raffle ticket to win that PC.

As this is obviously meant to promote the upcoming co-op title Youngblood, and the theme of working with others has been incorporated here too. Those who show up to the blood drive with a friend will receive two of those raffle tickets instead of one, so both people double their chances of winning.

While the various charity events happening during QuakeCon 2019 were announced recently, a tweet from the official account did reveal what the PC would look like, which you can see in the header image above.

Unfortunately a full parts list has not been provided but you can see that there’s an Nvidia RTX card inside of a customised Corsair case. As the game is set in Paris, the Eiffel Tower is emblazoned on the side of the box.

QuakeCon starts on 25th July in Texas, so this isn’t a competition open to everyone. The Youngblood drive itself takes places on 26th and 27th July, with the full details available on the dedicated charity page for the event.

Those a bit miffed that they can’t win a really cool PC should take this story as a reminder to donate blood regardless. While it’s winter in our country apparently hotter months cause blood shortages, which is why the Youngblood drive is happening right now in the US.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood launches 26th July 2019.
