DCC adds Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 to its channel notebook lineup

With Dell EMC’s local presence well established, you may be wondering if there are any hardware options available too. As it just so happens one of the firm’s distributors, Drive Control Corporation (DCC), has announced the availability of the Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 notebook for the South African channel market.

Designed for those in the ICT space in particular, this notebook also happens to be the world’s smallest commercial 14″ 2-in-1, according to DCC, at 1.3kg.

Given its lightweight construction, it’s well suited for working on the go, but DCC is also touting the performance of the Latitude 7400 2-in-1, with a battery that Dell claims can last up to 24 hours from a single charge, as well as taking one hour to hit 80 percent capacity while in quick charging mode.

DCC is also making the Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 available with up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processor, with other notable elements being Dell Client Command Suite and VMware Workspace ONE integration, enabling users to manage Windows 10 endpoints from one console.

Added to this is the security-focused ExpressSign-in feature which DCC is touting in particular.

“The Dell ExpressSign-in feature is undoubtedly a game changer. Not only is it extremely intuitive but also ensures that when a the PC is unattended no one will be able to grab a quick peek before the screen switches off. It takes data protection to the next secure level,” enthuses George Lodewick, Dell EMC Com Desktop and Notebook specialist at DCC.
