New Wolfenstein: Youngblood trailer contains an X-wing & major spoilers

Wolfenstein: Youngblood launches today on PC and tomorrow on consoles, and we have a very weird launch trailer to look at to celebrate the occasion.

We’ve linked it down below but skip to around 1:20 in the video to see… is that an X-wing?

We know that this game takes place in the 80’s and is heavily leaning into that fact (just listen to the trailer music), but we didn’t expect to see a starfighter from a galaxy far, far away.

Now, as far as we know, there is no official crossover here, the devs behind the game seemingly took inspiration from Star Wars and made an alternate history Nazi aircraft that just so happened to have four wings arranged in the shape of an X.

Play the trailer below to see what we’re talking about… or maybe don’t because there’s a huge spoiler towards the end.

The entire premise of Wolfenstein: Youngblood is that the daughters of the famous B.J. Blazkowicz are on a mission to find him after he goes missing. The end of this trailer reveals how that quest ends.

We’re not sure if this reveal is the true ending of the game or a bit of a fake out, but we suggest avoiding this new trailer if you’d like to go into the game completely blind. The spoiler happens at around 1:34, so you can jump in to see the X-wing and then leave before it happens.

Going back to that music and the track here is Sexkiller on the Loose by Carpenter Brut. This artist’s music has been used for much of this game’s marketing and you may have already heard some of it as Carpenter Brut has also featured in the Hotline Miami games.
