As was started with Zane, we’re being drip fed information about the playable characters in Borderlands 3, with Moze being the latest to get this treatment.
If you’re not too keen on names you may remember Moze as the vault hunter with the mech, which is called Iron Bear.
While we like to be as subjective as possible here, this is the best character in the game and we won’t be hearing any objections to this. She has a damn mech. Sure, it’s a rather ugly mech that kind of looks like an iron balloon with arms and legs, but it’s still a mech.
Anyway, the new trailer (embedded below) shows Moze’s backstory that’s just about as generic as can be. It’s the old “crew does one last job but it’s a suicide mission” deal.
After that we do get to see how Moze and the Iron Bear co-exist, which is interesting but we doubt any of that will actually be in the game.
As with Zane we also have a new site showing off some of her skill trees. Moze is unique in the fact that each of the three trees (each representing a an action skill) are actually mapped to the weapon on each of the Iron Bear’s arms. You can take a combination of any of the three, or double up on the same one.
The three available are Shield of Retribution (a railgun), Demolition Woman (a grenade launcher) and Bottomless Mags (a minigun).
If you’re somehow not excited by all the mechanised fun here, there was another trailer released today around the game. It focuses on a Borderlands 3 event done for San Diego Comic-Con, but it doesn’t have any mechs so who cares?
