Here’s the Friends LEGO set complete with coffee shop

Fifteen years after concluding, Friends returns once again, not as a rerun but as an official LEGO you will be able to buy this September.

Back in February it was announced that this would be happening thanks to LEGO Ideas, a system where fan creations can be turned into commercial products after a voting and vetting process.

LEGO Ideas has brought as amazing LEGO adaptations over the years, like Voltron and the NASA Apollo Saturn V.

21319: Friends Central Perk – as the set is called – releases 1st September overseas and features 1 070 pieces and seven minifigures. That’s one minifigure for each of the titular Friends, as well as Gunther.

The build, as you may expect, is comprised mainly of the Central Perk coffee shop and has the gang’s seating and table as a focus.

As a bit of extra flair each side of the set also features studio which is meant to represent the fact that this is a TV show set, and not that the cafe invested in some really good lighting.

When launched this set will cost $59.99 / £64.99 / €69.99 depending on where you like. Those outside of the big countries can usually expect their price to be closer to the UK one, after conversions and a bit extra tacked on for shipping and taxes.

Full details about the set can be see on the official LEGO site where you can also hover over the order button until it becomes available.

We’re sure fans of the show will be doing that until the start of next month, but there’s not much here for anyone else. If you squint hard enough the set looks remarkably like the one made for the Big Bang Theory – just some minifigures, some chairs for them to sit on, and a few walls.
