What to look forward to on Netflix for September

Following the marathon that was August, we’re happy to bid goodbye to this month and welcome in September with a slew of new content from Netflix.

Before we dive into the Netflix Originals arriving this month let’s go over the licensed content.

Spider-Man fans will be pleased to hear that Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives on 7th September. Unfortunately the meme that is Spider-Man 3 will also be hitting Netflix this weekend on 1st September.

Interstellar arrives the same day as Spider-Man 3 as does Dirty Dancing and the first season of Black Lightning.

Moving on to original content now, Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father season three premieres on Netflix on 6th September. This time the father and son duo are headed to the American West which should be rather entertaining.

Elite season two and Hip-Hop Evolution season three will also be available from 6th September.

On 12th September the first season of The I-Land arrives on Netflix. The series sees a group of strangers marooned on an island with no memory of how they arrived. It does look rather intriguing.

Then on 13th September Chelsea Handler explores white privilege and its impact on America in Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea. We’re sure this will rock a few boats but that’s not something Handler is unfamiliar with.

Jon Favreau and friends return in The Chef Show Volume 2 on the same day and we highly recommend giving it a watch if you love food.

On 20th September Disenchantment returns for a second season but what has our attention is Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates.

This three-part documentary gets to grips with what makes Gates tick as well as his aspirations to change the way we see the world. Gates is always fascinating to listen to and we can’t wait for this doccie.

The final Netflix Originals on our calendar are The Politician and The Shadow of the Moon. The series follows a wealthy student who has dreams of becoming president. What follows is a look into the depths people are willing sink to in order to become a politician. The Politician arrives on 27th September.

The Shadow of the Moon follows the hunt for a serial killer that kills according to a lunar cycle. With Mindhunters being a rather compelling watch last month we’re excited for more crime drama on 27th September.
