Lenovo brought a bunch of new Yoga notebooks to IFA 2019

A number of press conferences for IFA 2019 have occurred in the past few days, with Lenovo being one of the latest to hold one last night. The Chinese firm had a number of new devices to showcase at its Tech Life 2019 event in Berlin, revealing hardware for its notebook, PC, smartphone and smart device lineups.

What caught our attention in particular were the Yoga notebooks, with Lenovo having four new offerings to showcase.

Kicking things off is the Yoga C940, which is a 14″ 2-in-1 notebook that can be converted into a tablet setup. When in tablet mode there is a pen stylus available for scribing and other touch-based interfaces, with the notebook also catering for charging of the accessory.

There are two different display options on offer, with a UHD model and a Full HD one. The former serves up to 10.5 hours battery life, with the latter bumping things up to 14.5 hours.

Next is the more conventional looking Yoga S740, which too is available in a 14″ screened variant. The big talking point here us up to 10th Gen Intel Core processors (Comet Lake), with an 18.1mm thin design and lightweight construction at 1.4kg. There’s also models available with optional 4K HDR capable 14″ screens and Nvidia graphics cards, but regions are yet to be confirmed.

Joining those two Yoga notebooks is the C740, which is available in both 14″ and 15″ flavours. This offering features an all-metal body, and like many in the Yoga lineup has a 2-in-1 orientation for regular notebook and tablet modes.

In terms of battery life the 14″ C740 offers up to 13 hours, while the larger 15″ option does better with up to 15 hours. You can also get the C740 with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and Dolby Atmos speaker setup.

Rounding up the quartet is the Yoga C640. This device has a smaller screen than the rest with a 13″ display, but retains the signature 2-in-1 functionality. The C640 is also available in up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, along with touting the option to integrate 4G LTE connectivity. It also boasts a whopping 20 hours of battery life, according to Lenovo.
