Netflix unsurprisingly renews Stranger Things for fourth season

Netflix has a lot of original content on its platform, and the streaming service shows no signs of slowing down in that regard. Its most popular series is undoubtedly Stranger Things, with the highly anticipated third season breaking all kinds of streaming records when it debuted in July this year.

Naturally then Netflix has seen fit to give its producers more money and green light a fourth season of Stranger Things, confirming it via an announcement trailer which surfaced online yesterday.

With a fourth season always on the cards, especially given how the third season ended, the most important piece of information regarding this announcement is when Netflix plans to make this upcoming iteration of the franchise available to stream.

Sadly there is no news on that front, with the show’s creators and its cast both working on other projects while Stranger Things is on hiatus.

Speaking of the creators, the Duffer Brothers, they had this to say following the announcement.

“From our first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire team at Netflix has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance, and creative freedom we always dreamed about,” the Brothers said.

“We can’t wait to tell many more stories together – beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!,” they concluded.
