HP’s new Spectre x360 13 lands in SA in December, starting at R26 999

Earlier this week HP revealed the latest iteration in its Spectre x360 notebook lineup.

At the time this new offering had no local pricing or availability, but that changes today as HP confirms that the Spectre x360 13 will land locally in December, with it costing a recommended R26 999.

That price is for the base model that’s being brought to South Africa, so let’s touch on all the elements that HP is including for this new convertible notebook.

Like all of the x360 devices that HP debuts, this Spectre variant features a display which can rotate vertically to be used in a number of different modes – including tent, display and tablet. This also means that the 13″ screen is touch enabled.

HP has also been able to perform a nip and tuck on the new 2019 model, with it being 13 percent smaller than the previous generation, as well as weighing 1.27kg and sporting a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The firm is also touting 22 hours of battery life on the Spectre x360, and depending on the model you opt for, up to 4K OLED displays and a quad-core 10th Gen Intel Core processor.

The base model costs the aforementioned R26 999, with things going up steeply from there. HP says the Spectre x360 13 in Natural Silver will cost a recommended R29 999, which features 8GB RAM, Full HD screen and 512GB SSD. The higher specced option in Nightfall Black will cost R39 999, and houses 16GB RAM, a 4KOLED display and 1TB SSD.

All three of these models will be available in South Africa in December, although a precise date has not been mentioned. Either way you’re going to have to save up if you want to buy this convertible notebook.
