The OnePlus 7T Pro ups the processing power on its predecessor

As has been the trend for Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus in recent years, an updated version of its most recent flagship phone has surfaced – the OnePlus 7T Pro.

This new offering is one of three additions that OnePlus has revealed, all of which go on sale in the UK come 17th October. It’s the 7T Pro which has grabbed our attention, mainly because it features performance improvements in two key areas when compared to the model that the company released earlier in the year.

So what’s this new flavour sporting?

The beating heart to all this is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which features a 15 percent bump in GPU performance compared to the regular 855. The other big improvement comes in the form of something that OnePlus is calling 30T warp charging. The upshot here is 23 percent faster charging, allowing the 7T Pro to get to 68 percent battery charge in 30 minutes.

While those two elements have been enhanced, the 7T Pro features much the same components as its predecessor does. This means the 6.67″ display is retained with a 3120×1440 resolution, as is the 4 085mAh battery and choice of either 8GB or 12GB storage options.

The triple camera setup on the rear is the same too, with a 48MP main, 16MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto lens present. OnePlus has noted though that software tweaks have rsulted in an improved overall performance.

As mentioned earlier the firm plans to launch the OnePlus 7T Pro next week in the UK, alongside China and India, but no plans at this stage for the US or other regions. When it does land in the UK, it will cost a recommended £699 (~R13 107).
