As we get closer to the end of the year the games industry still has a few big titles to drop on our laps, with a PC port of Red Dead Redemption 2 being a noticeable inclusion.
With its November release date looming, we have a new trailer for it that trades run time for visual quality, as it’s just 60 seconds long but looks damn good. It’s available to watch (embedded below) in up to 4K, so you can really crank it to see how the game may look if you’re planning on playing it at those higher resolutions.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much at all about this version of the game, but a link to the official site does. Firstly, the release of this trailer coincides with pre-orders opening up for the title, which includes a bunch of bonuses if you choose to buy it on the Rockstar Games launcher.
Aside from some in-game currency and items, a pre-order bumps up a regular copy of the game to the Special or Ultimate Edition, and nets you two “free” Rockstar games. The two games can be chosen from this list of six.
As we always advise against pre-ordering, there are a lot of other editions to this version of the game aside from the higher quality you can expect on PC. Most notable here is several additions to the story mode, including three bounty hunter missions, a new collection mission, two gang hideouts, four weapons, two treasure maps and seven horses.
With the base console game already being a massive experience, these new inclusions only bump up the amount of hours you’ll be getting from the game.
Finally, we have a look at the type of PC you will need here. The full minimum and recommended specs can be found on the aforementioned site, but they seem very reasonable for what’s on offer here. Well, aside from the storage requirements, which is a ridiculous 150 GB.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on 5th November, but only on select platforms such as the Rockstar Games and the Epic Games launchers. A Steam version will come slightly later in December.
