The Rise of Skywalker’s last trailer is as cryptic as ever

If you’ve been clamouring for more Star Wars before the last movie in the latest trilogy is released, we now have what is the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker, but it really doesn’t reveal much.

That’s not to say, however, that we don’t see a lot in this trailer (because we do) but it’s all structured to provide as little information as possible. Rey and Kylo Ren fight, but then it looks like they team up. C-3PO says goodbye and looks like its hooked up to a jacking in machine from the Matrix. Space horses are ridden on top of a Star Destroyer.

Oh, and just about every big character – both dead and alive – have some extremely vague voice over here. Aside from going through every frame and trying to comb it for details, some of what the trailer reveals does seem to line up with leaks that have been floating around. We obviously won’t mention them here, so get to Google if you really want to know what they say.

To round things off there seems to be a cameo of sorts. In the shot where several starships are lined up Ghost seems to make an appearance. Ghost is the ship commonly seen in the Star Wars Rebels animated show. We’re not sure if this is just an Easter Egg or simply the same kind of ship not related to Rebels, but it’s nice to see regardless.

Ghost is visible for a split second at one minute into the trailer, and you can see it on the far right in the header image above.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker launches in just over under months from now on 20th December.
