Move over OBS here comes, erm, Adobe Creative Cloud?

At the annual Adobe MAX conference, Adobe announced that its Creative Cloud applications would one day have streaming options built into them.

Truth be told this isn’t as strange as it sounds. Many creators livestream their creative process or work day and having that functionality built into the apps they use rather than having to activate third-party software makes sense.

Speaking to The Verge, chief product officer at Adobe, Scott Belsky said that users could be able to filter videos to get more insight into specific tools.

“When you see a live stream of someone in our products, you want to know what tool they’re using — when they use the tool and when they stop using it — almost like a form of the waveform of video,” Belsky told The Verge.

“But imagine a waveform related to what tools people are using, and imagine being able to source all live streams that have ever been done in a particular product, by a particular tool, to be able to learn how people are doing something.”

As we mentioned, a number of designers livestream their work day to the world. Adobe says that average watch time on Adobe Live clocks in at 66 minutes.

Unlike Adobe Live however, this streaming tool will be available to all artists using Adobe products.

There is no word on when this streaming feature will hit Adobe Creative Cloud but is currently available in Adobe Fresco, to select users.
