Management and accounting software for lawyers, LawBox, launches today

Being a lawyer does not only involve meetings and court appearances but a fair amount of paperwork goes into the profession as well.

The trouble is that dealing with the management side of things can take time that would be better spent, well, practicing the law.

New cloud-based software LawBox launches today and it promises to help law firms, especially smaller ones.

The management software contains all the features law firms need to keep things running including functionality such as DocGen which allows firms to make use of templates to generate documents quickly. Law firms can also send out custom SMS notifications for payment reminders, court date reminders or updates on matters using LawBox.

“We’re very proud of what we have created, and how it has evolved, and excited to bring it to the small to medium law firms who also have the need for a powerful management and accounting program,” says LawBox director, Mervyn Vermeulen.

“When I started my law firm 5 years ago it was just myself, and I played the role of admin staff, tea lady, accounts and receptionist. All this while working to carve out a name out for myself in the industry. Cost was always a consideration and it was from this that LawBox was born,” Vermeulen added.

The director says that LawBox is especially helpful for firms that need debtor, accounting and general finance divisions but can’t necessarily afford to build those out.

Because LawBox is cloud-based it means that it can be used from anywhere in the world. The software also has multiple levels of authentication and user verification. This insures client data is kept confidential at all times.

The best part is that law firms can test LawBox out for free thanks to a two week trial offer.
