After launching in September we now have official word on what the first big DLC for Borderlands 3 will be, and it’s called Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot.
This campaign add-on has the vault hunters going on a mission for Moxxi to fight through and loot Handsome Jack’s casino.
That would be all we’d know of the DLC based solely on the trailer (embedded below), but The Borderlands Show has revealed a bit more.
Aside from an extension of the campaign, players can expect new Crew Challenges, new enemies, and new legendary weapons and gear.
This DLC is intended for players at level 13 or higher and will be available after unlocking Sanctuary III. This expansion is the first of four such planned additions which form the season pass of Borderlands 3.
On top of this news the game will be receiving a free play weekend which kicks off later today lasts until 24th November. Unfortunately this will only be available for those on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hopefully something similar happens on PC in the near future.
Before 19th December the free end game content Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite will become available, as well the newest Mayhem Mode – Mayhem 4.
After playing Borderlands 3 at launch we called it a day after finishing the main story and most of the side quests after hours of 36 hours of playtime. This DLC may coax us to reinstall the title, but we may opt to wait for the other three expansions to be released before we do that.
