Here’s 20 minutes of Tommy Wiseau edited into Star Wars

Forget The Mandalorian, Jedi: Fallen Order and The Rise of Skywalker because the biggest Star Wars event of 2019 is a 20 minute fan edit of Tommy Wiseau.

The madmen behind this project is PistolShrimps. You may recognise that name as the sketch comedy duo pulled a similar stunt back in 2017. The difference is that the 2017 video was much shorter at just under three minutes.

This new endeavour, called “The Saga: Star Wars with Tommy Wiseau”, is much longer but retains the quality from the previous video. The amount of editing here to make everything look so natural is astounding. We don’t even want to think amount the countless man hours used to carefully block out Wiseau’s flowing hair.

Not only are the visuals on point, but there’s a lot of clever dialogue trickery to make lines from The Room and the Star Wars movies sync up. We won’t spoil any here, so just make sure you’re not too distracted by what’s happening on the screen that you miss the audio gags.

According to the video description, this project took more than two years to complete. Originally starting out as just a random collection of clips, the team decided to try to weave them all into a humorous narrative spanning from Episode 2 to Episode 8.
