dbrand now selling skins and cases to ‘see’ inside of your phone

Do you miss the days of electronic devices featuring clear plastic cases so you can see all the circuitry inside? dbrand is bringing that concept back in a new way, with a range of vinyl skins and cases which feature prints of the internals for whatever device you use them on.

This limited edition series, aptly named “Teardown” was made in collaboration with Zack Nelson, better known as JerryRigEverything online. Far from a simple brand deal, Nelson’s content revolves around taking devices apart, and he has a particular fondness for replicating what these Teardown products do by making clear-backed phones.

The pair has worked to accurately replicate what the internals of each phone looks like for their skins and cases, which was apparently achieved by using a scanner which was able to look into the internal parts of each device.

The Teardown products are a limited release and will only be available for around a week.

Aside from needing to make a decision on if you want these before they’re gone, only a handful of devices are supported. They are:

  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • Nintendo Switch (skin only)
  • OnePlus 6
  • OnePlus 6T
  • OnePlus 7 Pro
  • OnePlus 7T
  • Pixel 3
  • Pixel 3 XL
  • Pixel 4
  • Pixel 4 XL
  • Samsung Note 10 Plus
  • Samsung Note 9
  • Samsung S10
  • Samsung S10 Plus
  • Samsung S9
  • Samsung S9 Plus

Prices for skins here are $19.95, and the cases are $14.95. While the case is the cheaper option, the more protective Grip version is $14.98 more on top of the $14.95.
