Earlier this week Apple listed the top performing apps and games in its App Store for 2019, and Google has done the same for the Play Store. Unlike Apple though, Google has not looked at different device platforms, but rather content, listing the best apps, movies, TV series, ebooks, audiobooks and mobile games of the year.
There is also the addition of a user’s choice section looking at the above categories, which makes it easier to see how the Play Store editors’ opinions different from that of the people who download from the marketplace.
The winners among the user’s choice categories are as follows:
Users’ Choice 2019
- App – Video Editor – Glitch Video Effects
- Game – Call of Duty: Mobile
- Movie – Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame
