Zumbo, Messiah and Titans arrive on Netflix in January

The end of the year is within sniffing distance and that means that aside from a new decade dawning, a new batch of content is headed to Netflix.

If you can’t stand the wait, be sure to check out what is still set to arrive on the streaming platform for the remainder of December.

But looking forward, there is a lot of new content coming to Netflix worth getting excited about.

On 1st January, Netflix Original Series Messiah debuts. The series will follow a number of characters including CIA officer Eva Geller – played by Michelle Monaghan – who uncovers information about a man – played by Mehdi Dehbi – gaining global attention through acts of public disruption.

Netflix says the series will explore the power of influence and belief in the age of social media. It looks great.

Fans of anthology horror films can expect Netflix Original Ghost Stories on the same day.

The film tells four short stories that take a twisted turn into the realm of horror.

A little later in the month, arguably one of the best cooking shows produced gets a second season.

Zumbo’s Just Desserts season two lands on Netflix on 10th January. Master pâtissier Adriano Zumbo and supremely talented chef Rachel Khoo are once again challenging contestants to make the most magical desserts you have ever laid eyes on.

On the same day however, Titans returns for its second season. The super-powered outcasts face new enemies and new challenges.

Troubled teens with super powers not enough? Well if you enjoy delving into the mind of a murderer, season two of I AM A KILLER arrives on 10th January.

The doccie series features death row inmates convicted of capital murder giving a firsthand account of their crimes.

A few days later on 17th January the popular comedy drama Sex Education returns for a second season. Otis Milburn returns seemingly continuing to dispense sex advice to his classmates if the announcement trailer is anything to go on.

For fans of The Ranch – which is one of those “we’ve heard it’s good but haven’t really gotten around to watching it yet” shows for us – the final season lands on Netflix on 24th January.

On the same day, everybody’s favourite witch Sabrina returns in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Part 3. The season will consist of eight episodes and hopefully no ire from the Satanic Temple.

There is a lot more coming to Netflix in 2020 including the first locally produced Netflix Original series Queen Sono which is primed for a February release.
