The Season of Dawn is currently underway in Destiny 2 and while folks are out saving Saint-14 from a Vex powered doom, we’re concerned with something much more important – baking cookies.
Everybody’s favourite granny Eva Levante is back for the festive season and Destiny 2 players can once again “bake” cookies. These cookies can then be gifted to vendors throughout the game world who will in turn gift you gear.
Of course, there are Triumphs related to this event so if you’re a collector you are likely going to want to deliver cookies to everybody possible in the game. This year, that is a bit trickier than last.
First thing you will want to do is visit Eva in the Courtyard at The Tower where you will receive a few cookie ingredients Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.0.
From there you will need to amass ingredients before you can bake the cookies below. The ingredients available this year as well as the source are outlined below:
- Vex Milk – Vex kills
- Chitin Powder – Hive kills
- Taken Butter – Taken kills
- Cabal Oil – Cabal kills
- Ether Cane – Fallen kills
- Dark Ether Cane – Scorn kills
- Superb Texture – Kills with your Super
- Balanced Flavours – Kills with a sniper/scout/bow
- Multifaceted Flavours – Multikills
- Personal Touch – Kills with your Melee ability
- Finishing Touch – Kills with your Finisher
- Delicious Explosion – Kills with Grenade ability (we have also received this with Grenade Launcher and Rocket Launcher kills)
- Sharp Flavour – Kills with a Sword
- Impossible Heat – Kills with a Solar weapons or abilities
- Null Taste – Kills with Void weapons or abilities
- Electric Flavour – Kills with Arc weapons or abilities
- Flash of Inspiration – Generate Orbs of Light with Masterworked weapons or Multikills with your Super
- Perfect Taste – Precision kills
- Bullet Spray – Kills with machine guns/sub-machine guns and auto rifles
- Essence of Dawning – Complete bounties from Vendors around the system
Our advice is to pick up a few bounties and head to locations throughout the system to get these materials. Something to note is that while these ingredients drop often, they are not always guaranteed to drop.
Now it’s time to get to baking. The full recipe list follows on below. Keep in mind you will need Essence of Dawning to complete the baking process.

Before we get to Saint-14, you may be asking, “How the hell do I gift Riven, a possessed wish dragon that wants to kill me, cookies?.”
Getting to Riven (without doing The Last Wish raid)
The answer is to do The Last Wish raid but there is a way to skip the first three encounters in the Wall of Wishes.
The Wall of Wishes is located just outside the room where the Kalli encounter takes place right at the start of the raid. Equip a single shot Primary weapon and plant a raid banner to stock up on ammo. You’ll need to do a bit of platforming to get to the wall but the video below will show you the route.
There are 15 14 wishes which can be made at the wall but you should only be concerned with Wish Seven, a wish to help a friend in need.
In order to activate the wish you will need to match the symbols on the wall with the image below courtesy of Reddit user banjoses. Be careful not to step on the plate in the centre of the room until the sequence is complete as this will reset the wall.
Once your symbols match, step on the plate you avoided earlier and your fireteam will wipe instantly.
When you revive you will be at the entrance to the Riven of a Thousand Voices fight. Step on a plate (if you’re with friends all six of you will need to be on a plate located around the room) and drop down. You should find a snow globe at the bottom of the tower at which point you can gift Riven her cookies.
As for Saint-14’s cookies, we aren’t entirely sure how to bring those to him just yet but will be sure to update this story when we find out how.
For now, kill some foes and bake some cookies. It is a time to be festive after all.
[UPDATED 20/12/2019]
As of Friday evening Saint-14 can be found at The Hangar in The Tower, just behind Amanda Holliday.
