Sophos introduces improvements to MSP Connect

Cybersecurity firm Sophos has announced several improvements to its managed service provider program known as MSP Connect.

The managed service provider program allows partners to easily deploy, manage and sell the Sophos product portfolio. As of time of writing, MSP Connect supports over 8 000 partners.

So then, what is new?

Sophos Managed Threat Response (MTR) allows partners to provide fully managed threat hunting, detection and response services while offering flexible monthly billing. There is newly also support for Windows Server, macOS and Linux operating systems.

A rather clever addition to MSP Connect is Sophos Cloud Optix. This feature automatically discovers and secures a client’s cloud assets whether they are stored in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud solutions.

Cloud Optix can be managed from a single pane of glass to make the job of partners just a bit more efficient.

Finally, in terms of billing, MSP Connect features expanded professional service automation and remote monitoring and management integrations.

This improvements include the ability to automate manual data entry and invoicing. Integrations with Datto, Kaseya and ConnectWise Manage have also been expanded.

“Sophos is committed to helping MSPs stay ahead of new and emerging threats, and we’re providing a flexible subscription-based model for critical solutions and services that better protect customers with the scalability and automatic invoicing to fit their operational needs,” said vice president of Global MSP at Sophos, Scott Barlow.

“With dedicated teams across the Americas, EMEA and APJ, we’re well positioned to help MSPs grow their managed security service businesses, training them on how to defend customer endpoints, servers, mobile devices, and networks with synchronized security and how to sell cybersecurity as a system,” the VP concluded.
